 Lower Console

Since my car is a 1992, I couldn't use a traditional KITT lower console because the stock center console is more narrow in the '92 as opposed to an '82.

The console controls power to the switch pod unit, voice box disconnect, and surveillance mode. I integrated the surv. mode electronics into the lower console.Click to Enlarge

I will likely eventually swap out the entire stock center console unit with an older style one, so that I can use a more accurate KITT lower console. But for now, my little custom job is working fine.

Update 1/11 - I never did get around to installing the center console. My order is still in with ADiAT for the season 1 style lower console. I'm hoping to have it within the next few months.

Update 7/09 - I've finally gotten all the pieces together for the 'new' center console. I've been working on cleaning them up a bit to get the pieces in better shape for my car. I have an order in with Advanced Designs to get a 1st season style lower console. The install of the center console and the KR lower console will likely be a winter garage project.
