 Engine/Mechanical Modifications

Although my engine is only a V6, I have done a bunch of "bolt on" horsepower modifications to try and squeeze some more power out of it. Most of the mechanical work was done by Schweikert's Auto in Allentown, PA.   As of right now I have the following modifications:

- Superchips Inc. performance chip
- K&N airfilter
- 2.5" cat back exhaust
- Flowmaster muffler
- Carsound high flow catalytic converter
- PST Poly-Graphite front end kit and anti-sway bars
- B&M shift kit
- 140 amp altenator
- MSD ignition coil
- Platinum plugs
- Sphon tubular steering brace

The V6 engine is in great shape with low miles, but I would love to have more power.  The thing is, when I started this project, I was concentrating on the KITT conversion and didn't really care about the engine too much.

Now, 9 years later, I'm thinking more about the engine.  I'm afraid the engine swap would be like opening Pandora's Box and may become a never ending nightmare or problems and issues.  Still, it would be great to have 8 cylinders in there...  Feel free to vote in the survey to let me know what you think or send an email if you have suggestions on how to get more power out of the current 3.1L engine.
